Second City Salvage is offering today this cute little antique brass sconce that has been fully restored. It was salvaged from a St. Paul residence c1900 and was painted when received. We found this great patina under all that paint and paired it with this exterior etched globe shade which I feel is the perfect match. The brass has only been lightly cleaned and will darken naturally over time. It measures 4″w x 9″h and will project 9″ from the wall once installed. Shade is 4″w x 4″h and has a 2 ¼ fitter. Canopy is 4 ½”dia. x 4″h. Nice beaded detail around the edge of the wall canopy (which has a few dings and dents consistent with age) and bell shade holder. Shade is in excellent condition with only an insignificant chip to the inside edge that was difficult to capture in a photo (last picture). It could be installed as an up or down light. It accepts a standard base bulb, has been tested and will come to you with updated wiring and a modern cross bar ready to install. A very nice representation of the Victorian era and perfect for a smaller space.
