Second City Salvage is offering today this way cool Art Deco porcelain sconce with a streamline design and a saucer type shade from the 1920s. It has been fully restored with a new socket although there is no outlet connection, but does have an operational pull chain. Overall, it measures 7″w x 5″h and will project 7″ from the wall once installed. The shade is 7″w x 3″h and has a 2 1/4 ” fitter and has somewhat of a rough edge, but no major chips or cracks. I would consider it to be in excellent condition. The backplate is 4 ¾”w x 5″h and once we removed all the grime, we did find a very fine hairline crack (last photo) on the front of the sconce that in no way affects its integrity. Original ball tip fitter screws add an interesting touch. It’s a solid piece that will last another 100 years! It will come to you with updated wiring, a new pull chain socket and a modern bracket needed for installation.
