Second City Salvage is offering today this pair of Art Deco sconces (I have two pairs) that my research tells me were made by Levolite in the late 1930s or early 1940s and were from their “After Daylight” line. They are comprised of brushed nickel and cast brass and have feather accents on the bottoms and fine incised lines on the shade holders. These have been completely restored and are ready to install with new sockets and turn switches. Very minor loss of finish to the brushed nickel backplates that is not noticeable but I have to mention. Very difficult to capture in a photo, but you’ll never see it unless you scrutinize them up close. The backplates measure 4 1/2” diameter and with the shades they are 11”h. These will project 6” from the wall once installed. I paired these with custard cup or pudding bowl shades that measure 5”w x 3 1/4”h and have 2 ¼” fitters that sit well in the shade holders. They accept a standard base bulb, have been tested and will come with a modern bracket needed for install. Price is per pair. I will offer a discount if both pairs are purchased by the same buyer.
