Second City Salvage is offering today this antique c1918 stamped brass semi-flush mount two-light ceiling light with original molded Sheffield style satin glass shades that has been completely restored. It measures 15 1/2″ w x 7″w and will drop 12 1/2″ from the ceiling once installed. All components of this light are brass, sockets are original pull chain sockets with rare acorn pulls that have been restored. Period shades are in exceptional condition but there is one very tiny flea bite chip to the bottom edge on one. Not notable, but I have to mention and very difficult to capture in a photo. Each shade measures 5″ w x 4 1/2″h and have 2 1/4″ fitters. The pan that mounts the ceiling is 12″w x 7″w. This light was painted gold and lacquered when received so it was stripped down to bare brass and then lightly cleaned. It will darken to a nice patina over time. The wiring has been updated with period correct gold cloth wiring, it accepts two standard base bulbs, will be tested and will come with the modern cross bar needed for install.
