Description
Second City Salvage is excited to offer this lovely piece of Craftsman era lighting by Beardslee c1915 for sale. This sconce was restored from head to toe and remains 99% original. It has the original pull chain socket that is fully operational and has a bead chain with an acorn pull. It has been stripped of paint and lacquer down to the bare brass and has been lightly cleaned so will darken naturally over time. I believe the square shade to be original as it is etched on the interior and is most definitely period and not a reproduction. It is in excellent condition with only a very slight rough edge to the bottom on one corner. There are no cracks or significant chips to the shade. Overall measurement of the light is 4 ½”w x 9 3/8”h x 7” projection. The shade itself measures 3 1/4”w x 4 1/2”h and has a 2 1/4” fitter. The Beardslee mark is on the canopy. It accepts a standard base bulb, will come to you with updated wiring and a modern cross bar needed for install.
