Second City Salvage is thrilled to offer this c1895 rare hammered wrought iron pendant with original canopy and fitter and large scale stenciled shade that was salvaged from a St. Paul mansion undergoing a remodel. The shade came out of a Red Wing, MN church and sadly the original plaster fitter for this shade was destroyed. The shade is in mint condition with no cracks or chips. Overall, the light measures a monumental 11″w and will drop 69″ to the bottom of the finial from the ceiling once installed. The stenciled shade itself is 11″w x 14″h and has a 6″ fitter. The chain is 37″ long (can be shortened at an additional cost) and the canopy measures 4 1/2″ dia. x 3″h. All components of the light are hammered wrought iron with the exception of the post that connects the canopy to the chain which is brass. Patina is original – it has only been lightly cleaned. It has been rewired with period correct black cloth wiring, accepts a standard base bulb and will come with a modern cross bar needed for install. This light needs a high ceiling and large space in which to hang and will make a dramatic statement wherever it is installed!
