Description
Second City Salvage is offering today this Arts & Crafts window salvaged from a Chicago bungalow in the Midway Airport neighborhood very recently c1920. We have a large quantity of these in the same geometric pattern of green and light blue glass. Where you see light blue glass, on the reverse side, it is mottled gold flash glass. The main portion of the windows are clear so these are not “privacy” windows. The majority of the windows measure 26″w x 29″h x 1 1/4″thick and glass only at 21 1/2″w x 25 1/2″h. We do have one that is slightly larger at 34″w x 29″h X 1 ¼” thick and the glass only for that one is 29 1/2″w x 25 1/2″h. (Height does not include the “feet” on the bottoms of the windows, this is for the frame only.) All priced the same. I will offer a discount if multiples are purchased by the same buyer. All glass is undamaged – there are no cracks or other condition issues. I will do my best to remove as much paint as possible from the edges prior to shipping. Frames have the original chippy paint, but stand sturdy. This simplistic geometric pattern says less is more and is such a great representation of 1920s bungalow design in Chicago.
