Description
Second City Salvage is offering today this great pair of antique brass sconces that were recently salvaged from a church in Seymour, IA. There is a patent date of July 23, 1912 stamped on the fitter, but no manufacturer mark. The shades are gorgeous fluted opaque amber glass with only one tiny flea bite chip to the bottom edge of one shade that is not noticeable unless scrutinized up close (last photo). Other than that, they are perfect with no other visible chips or cracks, maybe just some roughness around the fitter edge which disappears once they are placed on the shade holders. Each one measures 4″w x 10″h and they will project 8″ from the wall once installed. The shades themselves are 4″w x 5 1/4″h and have 2 1/4″ fitters. The canopies are 4 3/4″ dia x 4″h. These accept standard base bulbs, will come with updated wiring and a bracket needed for installation. A gorgeous pair to dress up your Arts & Crafts home!
