Second City Salvage is happy to offer this great little light in nickel plated brass that dates to the early 20th century probably around c1905. It had a very weird finish on it when received into my inventory so after that was all stripped off, I found this great nickel plating on the brass. Some of it has worn off canopy, post, socket and shade holder and the brass is showing through, but I do believe that adds to the character of this cute little light. It measures 7 ½”w and will drop 12″ from the ceiling once installed. If you would like a longer drop as a pendant, chain can be added. It can also be installed as a sconce and that meausurement is 9″h x 9 ½” projection. The shade is period Holophane Pagoda and is stamped as such and measures 7 ½” dia. x 2 ½” and has a 2 ¼” fitter. There is a small chip on one of the ribs on the shade which is very hard to see and I did my best to capture it in the photo (last picture). It is insignificant and really not notable, but I have to mention. The canopy is 4″ square x 2 ½”h (see last three photos for all condition issues). It accepts a standard base bulb, will come to you with period correct cloth wiring, will be tested and will also come with a modern cross bar needed for install. This would be a great task light for a kitchen as these Holophane shades throw out a ton of light. Pair it with an Edison bulb as shown (but not included) for a super cool vintage look!
