Description
This piano window was recently salvaged from a c1915 Chicago residence and I was thrilled to be able to come to its rescue. The glass is a mix of textured and opalescent pieces of Kokomo glass that glow when the light hits it. The lotus flower and leaf pattern and the entire window is obscured so would afford great privacy. It has been fully restored in that all lead-based paint has been stripped from the frames, bowing corrected and some joints resoldered – as far as I know, all the glass is original. Its overall condition is excellent, however, there might be a few tight hairline cracks that are not noticeable unless scrutinized up close, but I have to mention. In my professional opinion, these flaws are better off left alone. Overall dimensions is 34″w x 29″h x 1 ¾” thick and the measurement for the glass only 29″w x 24″h. This panel would benefit from having rebars installed for extra strength, but if it is going to be displayed inside and not exposed to the elements, it would be fine without.
